Effects of Different Growing Media on Growth Parameters of Zinnia (Zinnia elegans)

Growth media have important effects on the development of ornamental plants. Many organic and inorganic materials are used in as growing (GM) The present study was carried out Atatürk University controlled greenhouses condition. In study, 11 different created with sand, soil, peat, perlite, coconut peat their mixtures were media. Mixing medium a volumetric basis (V:V), respectively: Mix 1: peat+perlite+peat (1:1:1), mix 2: + perlite+ soil 3: 4: sand 5: perlite 6: sand+soil (1:1:1). Our results showed that GM had positive effect plant growth flower parameters (flower number, stem diameter, length, thickness, wet dry weight, root length parameters), chlorophyll reading value (SPAD), chemical properties leaves. it determined better by using (1:1:1) can be suggested useful for Zinnia elegans
